An amazing video in circulation on Twitter and other online platforms purports to show a Fish Eating another Larger Fish. It appears to show the fish with big mouth swallowing a long and slender fish. The too good to be true video is a real one; the fish however could not eat it.

On 28th October 2019, Twitter user Big Boi shared the one-minute video appearing to show the rare and amazing scene. The fish tries to prey on the oncoming large and slender fish. It tries to swallow it gradually despite the resistance. Viewers were surprised at the scene, many wondering if it is even possible for real. Others suggested it is a rare case of Cannibalism in Fishes.

Big Fish Eating Eel Fish

What you see in the video is real – the amazing Hunting involves a Big Fish Eating an Eel Fish. YouTube user ‘Fisherman Animal Lover’ published a larger version of the video in late August 2019, showing the entire scene. The YouTube user did not describe the species of the big fish. Some fish species, although look small in size, have large stomach to fit in such larger fish.

You can see in the full video, between struggle from both sides, the Big fish tried more than once to swallow the Eel fish completely. At the end, the big fish let the Eel fish out as it was too large for it. The Eel fish could manage to escape into the water after the big fish recedes.
